Economy & Trade
Every war chest starts with a coin. Here's every way to earn one, every place to spend it, and how prices actually move.
Money basics
/bal <player> checks someone else's.Server shop
The server buys and sells almost every vanilla item. Open it, pick a category, and click to buy or sell. The sell price is roughly a quarter of the buy price.
Buying
Sixteen categories: blocks, decoration, dyes, enchanting, farming, food, misc, mob drops, music discs, ores, potions, redstone, spawners, workstations and everything else. Spawn eggs can't be bought; spawners can, from $10,000 to $225,000.
Selling
Sell from the shop menu or straight from your inventory. Shulker boxes are sold with their contents.
Live prices
Shop prices follow supply and demand. Every purchase pushes an item's price up; every sale pushes it down. Left alone, prices drift back toward normal, closing half the gap every 12 hours.
- Cheap items need far more volume to move than expensive ones, so one stack of dirt won't swing the market.
- Bulk trades are charged at the average price across the trade, not the price before it.
- The price shown in the shop is always the price you pay or receive.
- If everyone dumps the same ore, its sell price sinks. Sell what others aren't selling, or wait for it to recover.
Auction house
Sell to other players at your own price. Hold the item, then list it.
Up to 10 active listings per player. A 1% tax is taken from each sale.
Player trades
For swaps you don't want to trust: both players put items and money into a shared window, and nothing changes hands until both accept.
You must be within 50 blocks of each other. A request expires after 60 seconds.
Stock market
Buy shares in server companies and sell when the price is up. Prices move on their own, and companies can crash.
- Up to 1,000 shares per player.
- After buying you must still hold at least 10% of the investment's value in cash.
- Treat it as a gamble. Crashes are part of the design.
Other income
